A Story of a Boy Who Wanted to Fly
In a small town called Rameswaram, there lived a young boy.
His family was not rich. Every morning, before going to school, he would wake up early and sell newspapers.
Life was simple. Sometimes, even difficult.
But inside his mind, there was a dream—
he wanted to fly.
Not just in imagination, but in real life.
He wanted to become a pilot.
Years passed.
The boy studied under street lights, worked hard, and never let his circumstances decide his future.
Finally, the day came.
He applied for the Indian Air Force pilot selection.
This was not just an exam for him—
this was his dream.
He gave his best.
Waited for the results with hope in his eyes.
When the result came,
he checked the list… once… twice… again.
His name was not there.
He was ranked 9th.
Only 8 were selected.
For a moment, everything stopped.
The dream he had carried for years—
ended in a single result.
He walked alone, confused, broken.
“What now?”
No dream. No direction.
Most people would have stopped there.
Most people would have said,
“Maybe this is not for me.”
But that boy didn’t stop.
He didn’t become a pilot.
But he continued learning. Continued working.
He entered the field of science.
Started working on rockets. Missiles. Technology.
Slowly, step by step,
he built a new path—one he never planned.
Years later,
that same boy became known as the “Missile Man of India.”
And one day,
he became the President of India.
That boy was Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
And the lesson?
Sometimes, life doesn’t give you what you ask for.
Not because you don’t deserve it—
but because something bigger is waiting.
If he had become a pilot,
he would have flown one aircraft.
But because he failed,
he helped a nation rise.
So remember…
Your failure is not your final chapter.
It is just a turn in the story.
Keep walking.
Because one day,
you will look back and realize—
that failure was the reason you became something greater.
